It is not happy people who are thankful. It is thankful people who are happy.” ― Author Unknown

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.― Albert Schweitzer

“When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or
take them with gratitude.”
Gilbert K. Chesterton

For the past 27 years, the men of NM Men’s Wellness have had the opportunity to gather for an outing of spiritual connections and physical activities in the wintertime. In 2016, we celebrate the 25th gathering at Cook’s Cabin. Please join us for the 2016 NMMW Winter Gathering to express our gratitude for this opportunity. We will be active during the day, starting with morning meditation and/or Qigong. We will have outings into the surrounding wilderness on snow shoes and skis. We will play games, listen to and make music, and prepare and share communal meals. This year, our evening talking circles will focus on what we are grateful for. What material possessions and spiritual practices are you most thankful for? What do we take for granted that we should be more grateful for? How are we fortunate? Does gratitude prevent us from maximizing results or being the best that we can be?

We extend an invitation to the men of NMMW to explore these and your own questions during the last weekend of February.
